Happo One (pronounced Oh-Nay) is the jewell resort of Hakuba. You can see it when you come out of the Train Station and look straight ahead. This resort was the host to the Downhill and Ski Jump events at the 1998 Winter Olympics. The Ski Jumps are on the South side of the resort and you can get up to the drop in point at the top.
Happo One is a wide resort with a lot of variety. On a powder day it`s awesome. Trees, natural hits, jibs, drops, banks and tons of snow. Happo has long top to bottom runs, wide beginner areas and a few steeps. Its full of fun terrain and has enough to keep all levels interested.
The park at Happo is run by High Cascade. There is a beginner line, intermediate/advanced line with a separate jib line. The shapes of items are nice and well maintained. They are trying to make progression easy here for the park novice, but also giving the experienced riders a place to ride smooth kickers. The Hip is sweet.
Happo is the most diverse resort in Hakuba and has the elements for good times. Also has a small night ski area.
There is a free Shuttle Bus Service operating from various points around Hakuba.
