Hakuba Minekata is perhaps the quietest resort in Hakuba. It is on the East side with west facing slopes. There are only two lifts but this resort can be alot of fun on a powder day because no-one will be there and there are a lot of natural hits and fun jibby things about. No park facilities. This resort is more suited to the beginner and low intermediate skiers/riders.

There is cross country ski course and a snow shoe course. This is good for the non skiers/riders out there. The snow shoe course goes through the forest and has lovely views and you might spot some wildlife. Take lunch with you and you have a nice relaxing day in the mountains. Renatl available at the base area.

In summer the downhill mountain bike course is open and is quite satisfying after the long meandering uphill ride there.

There is a free Shuttle Bus Service operating from various points around Hakuba.
