Hakuba Highland is small resort on the East side of the valley. From here the views of the Hakuba mountain range are nothing short of spectacular. Highland is geared toward families as the terrain is not steep, uncrowded and has no park facilities. This means that if you have people in your group who are hesitant of getting on skis or boards then this would be a good place to start. A virtually empty resort makes learning less stressful and there will be no chance of being taken out by an out of control learner.

The hotel at the base has an onsen which has the best views in the valley and is definately worth the visit even if you don`t ski here.

There is a free Shuttle Bus Service operating from various points around Hakuba.
